personally, i think that AoE will be better than civ.. I played both of them, but AoE was just a lot more fun to play with. Civ tried to go a bit to far in there games, with all the expensive and intensive research each time for better things...

I'm more excited for AOE3 than Civ4... I tried Civ3 and was addicted to it for a while... but I never was very good... and I hate loosing so for me, AOE is the one!
