hello all,
i have an old emachine 2542 desktop which i am trying to fix. The issue i am having is not having any video output on my monitor. not even the bios will show up.
these are the steps i have taken
1) changed power supply
2)changed memory
3) changed monitors
4) changed graphics card
5) reset cmos
i do not know what else to try. even the cd drive opens when i try it. cpu fan is also working.

Buy a new motherboard. The old PSU has cooked it. The processor will probably be okay, though the hard drive may be starting to develop issues too.
