Need some advice on how to install a Seagate Barracuda ST3800012ACE hard drive from a Tivo / DVRecorder into a reg Windows XP PC system.

Is there any special jumper settings req, or will it fdisk and format like any other hard drive.....?

Someone mentioned on the web that the 1 pin is in reverse order???

Does any one have any info on this drive..

Thanks, for any help

George :)

Connect it up as normal and format it through My Computer. Or if it doesn't show up in My Computer, go through Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.

I see no reason why it shouldn't work in a computer. If you look at the labels and see instructions on using FDisk and what not, it'll be fine.
