I apologize for posting again HOWEVER I thought this would be important information for the awesome person who is going to help me.

Besides not being able to open any virus programs,
I can not open links, can't copy/paste, can't open a new browser, can't search, can't download.

I can type into the url location.

This browser I've had open all day and I'm too scared to close it.
I can get into my email for now.

With tons of gratitude,
Carmen

PS I just realized that I could have editied my other post..oops sorry.

Hello carmen33

Welcome to G2Go. :)
=====================
See if you can do this and email me the results if need be, here >kahdah at aol.com replace at with @:

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE and Save As (in IE it's "Save Target As", in FF it's "Save Link As") to download Silent Runners.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will receive a prompt:
    • Do you want to skip supplementary searches?
      click NO
  • If you receive an error just click OK and double-click it to run it again - sometimes it won't run as it's supposed to the first time but will in subsequent runs.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt All Done!, open the text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.
*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

Have you tried to resart the computer?

Is there any possible way you could try to do a System Restore and restore it to a different time before this happened?

You can there like this
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >System Restore
Let me know if you are able to do this?

That's the whole file I got from Kaspersky. I checked my saved file.
Did I miss something?

If that is all you have then I guess that's it.
It appears to not have copied all the way.

Either way it is good enough as you have a Panda scan that I can work with too.
===========================================
Open up Spybot and go to the recovery section open it and select everything in there by placing check marks next to each item and click on purge.
===============
Also empty your deleted items folder in your e-mails.
============================
Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it. (Vista users, please right click on OTMoveit2.exe and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    hkey_classes_root\.te
    c:\documents and settings\user\favorites\health
    C:\Program Files\PestPatrol\Help.chm
  • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be Moved" window (under the light Yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • OTMoveit2 will create a log of moved files in the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder. The log's name will appear as the date and time it was created, with the format mmddyyyy_hhmmss.log. Open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt2
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.
============
Also post a new Hijackthis log and let me know how things are running?

how do you guys know all this stuff?!!!
OH and Norton comes with the cable company that provides my internet service. it's only used for firewall, the anti virus is deactivated.

things seem to be running better. considering i'm at about half of my computer file storage.
I've installed firefox and using that now.
we do not use outlook, is that what you were referring to for deleting the email?

sometimes I think the machine has a mind of it's own, like it's running all by itself.

OT move it list
< hkey_classes_root\.te >
Registry key hkey_classes_root\.te\\ not found.
c:\documents and settings\user\favorites\health moved successfully.
C:\Program Files\PestPatrol\Help.chm moved successfully.

=====================================
After that your log is clean. :)

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people.
You do not have to have all or any of them they are only suggestions.
This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.

Spybot Search & Destroy-Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.

Ad-Aware-Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.

Spyware Blaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.

Spywareguard-Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.

IE-SPYAD- puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.

Tony Klein article To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein.
