I have been having some problems lately with my Cpu usage going berserk for no reason. I have been checking around and my first guess was that it was some kind of virus using RunDLL.32 seeing the symptoms. I installed MBAM and SuperAntiSpyware, both proved helpful as both found problems. When it came to Panda it found some problems but was unable to fix them. The programs I downloaded seemed to have helped the CPU slightly, but it still occaisonally does some mad jumps. The biggest CPU problems come with firefox /explorer and MSN Messenger usually. Another problem, that I think comes with this is the sound to my comp. It is impossible to listen to anything from ie Youtube unless the video is completely loaded, and even then you need to pause it occaisonally for the sound to catch up (the same goes for listening to songs in VLC). I'll shut up now and just post the HiJackThis file ;(

I don't see any evidence of mawlare. We will look deeper into the matter, however I highly recommend you uninstall one of your antivirus products, as you have two at the moment: AVG8 and NOD32. Both are great, but I'd recommend leaving NOD32 as it has better protection. Multiple anti-virus programs often cause system slowdown and lesser detection rates.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.

• Close all other windows before proceeding.
• Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
• When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply. Note: It's likely that the two logs won't fit into one post. If so, please post extra.txt in a separate post.

I know, I've been having some problems with that. I made a serious noob mistake. Downladed AVG cause it was reccomended by you and tried to uninstall Nod32. After I'd uninstalled it I however couldn't get on the internet to download AVG. So I tried to use the restore point I just did to turn it back the way it was... Didn't work out ;/ And now I can't remove Nod32, and not sure if I should remove AVG as uncertain to how much nod32 now protects haha. A different prob I know. ;p I'll try removing AVG. Thanks for looking into it btw.

Sorry for the delay - I must have missed your reply.

If you uninstalled NOD32, that's fine. Leave AVG there, no need to uninstall it, just do the following. If you did uninstall AVG, let me know and don't follow the steps just yet.


Please open a new notepad file in a convenient location, such as on your desktop. Paste the following code into it:

sc stop NOD32krn
sc delete NOD32krn

Now please click File > Save As... > Name the file BatchFix1.bat > Change the filetype setting to All Files > Hit Save. Now locate the file and double click it - a black window will appear on the screen for a moment then disappear - this is normal.

Sorry I removed it. I'm not sure how NOD is feeling atm though. ;p So if there are no virus threats, could it be a hardware problem? It's overheating or somehting? There must be some site where you can check if it is..

Another thing, not sure if it has anything to do with anything, but when I start my comp I get SRV #001 CLED error, and also my bar with the start pannel is bugged (forces me to Alt+tab to alter for instance).

Yeah, there's just the remains of NOD32. Please, install an anti-virus product, be it NOD32 or AVG Free. It is VERY IMPORTANT you have one running in the background.

As for the errors - can you perhaps include a screenshot or a more detailed description? I'm not sure what you mean.
