Help please avast won't rid me of win32:delf-iwd [RESOLVED]

hello I have this problem and it won't go away so i did a yahoo search an found this site and the first thing you told others was to download and post a hijackthis log so here it is

Hello

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

For more information on the Windows XP Recovery Console read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058.

Once you install the Recovery Console, when you reboot your computer, you'll see the option for the Recovery Console now as well. Don't select Recovery Console as we don't need it. By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

thanks for the quick reply

i posted when i was being attackked and i got rid of it for now cause the virus scan says nothing found

do i wait or do the combofix thing when i'm attacked again?

my computer has a hit f10 at start up and it will recover my op system back to day 1 and save all my files
i have done so before and am still finding stuff i need to reinstall

i was hoping to avoid doing that again but is that best? is that what the recovery console is?

I would run ComboFix anyway, Delf is one of the toughest pieces of malware to remove


The Recovery Console is a backup in case your PC ever gets extremely damaged. It lets us fix it.

well i'm not going to get ahead of myself but since the problem i had when i posted this i haven't been attacked

and i just did a scan that came up negative

what happen yesterday is my computer shut itself down and said it recovered from am major error

and since then has worked flawlessly

i may return but if i'm not thanks for being here
