Hi,

This log was posted from Windows Safe mode, so please reboot back to normal mode and perform the following steps..

* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatly.

I've attempted 5 seperate times to run in normal mode, everything freezes. I cant even get far enough to launch the program. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Then perform the steps in Windows Safe mode.

Interesting about the "freeze" issue in normal mode. This user is having the same problem. And I notice that you are both running CA Internet Security Suite. So, it wouldn't suprise me that CA Internet Security Suite is the cause here as well.
That's why I suggest to temporary uninstall CA Internet Security Suite - this to properly troubleshoot the freezing issue.

Glad to hear. I hope the other user reads this thread as well to figure out that it's indeed CA that is causing this issue.

Your log looks OK again as well.

Just some orphaned entries...

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A51D8FA4-C859-473D-9E18-FA0C59D16FA3} - (no file)

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Also, since there is no Antivirus present here, I suggest you install one again. Look in my signature under Antivirus Scanners for the ones I recommend. Only install 1!

Hello Again,

Everything seems to be working good. I removed those items,cleaned with Ccleaner, ran Registry Mechanic, then loaded avast. My system is running just a little slow not bad, just a little. I'm now running avast and spybot, is there any other programs you would recommend to prevent this from happening again? Thanks in advance!!!!
