It might help if you gave us some more detailed information.

Which version of IE are you using?
What site are you trying to reach and what is the EXACT message.
Post a screenshot if need be.
When did it start?
Have you checked for malware?

Is this article any help

HI,

I have IE6. It just started last week out of the blue. I have ran several programs and none have detected any issues. It happens on Yahoo mostly and any websites randomly.
When I click ok it says page cannot be found! After a few tries I can get on the page.

OK first try.

Copy the part in the code block below into notepad and save it as regie.bat

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

Then close as many programs as possible and certainly all IE windows and doubleclick the bat file you created.
You should get a DllRegister succeeded for each line.
Let me know if any of them says differently.
Then open a new IE window and let me know if the problem was solved.

I spoke too soon. It was working fine last night and this morning until just now. It did it on Yahoo and some random website I cannot remember what my husband was looking at. But after that I got right in!

That's annoying.
Then something must have broken what we repaired.
Can you run the bat file again and let me know how long it holds?

Also let me know if you have any Yahoo software installed. A toolbar or something similar.

Don't be too happy yet.
I'm afraid we'll have to figure out what's breaking the repairs.
Post back when it happens again.

This is nuts its now happening on my desktop also! It started today and they are not on the same network. I noticed something though. Its happening on sites I have on my favorites or sites I have visited before!

I copied the same code on my desktop that you told me to on my laptop but this time it said Mshtml.dll was loaded but the Dll register server entry point was not for this file and cannot be registered. The rest were fine.

My laptop only gave me troubles once today.
