I downloaded a game which ran OK but refused to shut down, I therefore uninstalled it. However, I have been left with screens in Windows that are very enlarged and everything has moved up and to the left by a good inch. It is difficult to see the Start menu and the Title bar is out of view. I dont think that the monitor is the problem because DOS is displayed normally during startup.

have you tried changing the display settings by using the control buttons on the monitor?
Also make sure all of your video drivers are updated
