IE7 will now take quite a while to close, it will close all the tabs, blank out the toolbar area and then it will hang for about 5 seconds.

I have tried the usual, temp files etc, obviously it is bordering impossible to reintall IE7, is there any fixes I can try.

Thanks!

Try to disable the addons you don't use (Skype's one for example)
Or simply install Firefox or Opera and forget all about your problems with IE

I have tried with no add-ons, plus I only have google toolbar.

And, although this will get me beaten up, I actually like IE :) *runs*

So do I :) Do you have IE7 set to clear the cache and history on exit, as I find that slows it down a tad - mayhap 2 or 3 seconds

You can check by going Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab then scroll down to the security section and check as to whether or not there is a tick in the empty temporary files when browser closed :)
