I think I know why AVG isn't working for me. If I change the settings in, Tools, Advanced Settings and try to change the settings, the program won't let me. When I push the apply button, a window pulls up that says, "Run As Other User." It gives me two choices to either log in as what I normally log in as or Run the programs as the following user which is Administrator. Either way, it will not let me save the settings. I don't have the a password for administrator, that is not how i log in usually. When I try to log in as me, it won't save the settings. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Are you the administrator on this computer? Do you know if this account has any administrator privileges?

This is my personal computer, so yes, but I have never logged in as the administrator before. My personal log in has all privileges as the administrator. I have had the computer for 5 years.

Try logging in as the administrator or change the administrator's password even. To do this, go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->User Accounts.

I changed the password and logged in with the same results. I even restarted. I guess I should use a different program because AVG just does not work for me. Any suggestions?

You can give Avast Home Edition a try.
