i have a vista laptop and for a few games i have they will not run on vista or even my home computer XP. is it wise to use win98 and vista together? or maybe i could use it on my computer computer xp and win98. i really would like to get these games running again. any ideas? :)

Hello MuffinsCanFly,

Please check if your games work after doing these steps:

  • rightclick on your game, choose properties
  • click on the tab compatibility (or something like that, I don't have an English version of windows)
  • check the box, "run this program in compatibility mode. And then choose in the list below which starts with "Windows XP (service Pack 2)" Windows 98/ ME
Then click on OK. and try if your game works now. You will have to do this with every game that doesn't work.
