Hi Jim, looks like you may have a nasty in your temp file that keeps re-installing itself. Try emptying your temp folder. In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options, and the Delete Files button on the general tab under temporary INTERNET files.

Also, be sure your computer has all the Windows critical updates installed. Finally, consider an alternative browser like Firefox. It's much less susceptible to infection.

again please have tried admins offer but am still getting DSO EXPLOIT times 5 in each spybot scan any more ideas please

I looked into this a little more and found it's a bug with Spybot S&D version 1.3, a fix will be available soon. Make sure you update your copy.

Basically what's happening is that Spybot is finding that the security setting for "Download unsigned ActiveX controls" for the (normally) hidden "My Computer" zone in Internet Explorer is not set to disabled.

Given that anyone who is properly patched (via Windows Update) is not vulnerable to this exploit anymore, this is really not a serious issue, so provided your system is patched, you have nothing to worry about and can just ignore this until the fix comes out.
