I found a post for this problem where it was sugeested to download sdfix. I followed the procedure and when I clicked on the icon "Run this" it shut down once again.
Is anyone knowledgeable in this area?

Thanks for your help. I spent 45 minutes trying to see where to upload my file and failed. I must be a complete idiot but this site is too complicated for me.
