Hi,

For some reason I am unable to install some .exe files or watch some online videos on my desktop PC.

I belong to an internet marketing forum where a gifted and generous programmer has made some software programs and training videos available at no cost on his website. I know there are a lot of people who are using his software and viewing his videos with no problem - so there must be something wrong with my computer that is preventing me from using his resources.

When I try to install one of his software programs such as: http://www.mattharwa...serKW_Setup.exe
all I get is what appears to be a command prompt window that appears for a fraction of a second but then disappears.

When I try to view his training videos on his site, such as: http://www.mattharwa...aserURL_Search/
all I get is a black screen with nothing on it. I get the same result when viewing in either Firefox or IE7 browsers.

From what I can tell, no one else is experiencing these problems.

Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom B.

These are flash player videos.
You may have them blocked.
Or you may not have flash installed.

Hi,

I went to the adobe flash player website and it told me I have version 9,0,28,0 installed on Firefox.
I also visited the same page using IE7 and it told me I have version 9,0,115,0 installed.

How can I tell if I have the flash player being blocked?

I am able to view Camtasia Studio 5 videos without any problems that are displayed on other websites.
As far as I know, it's the videos on the following site that are just giving me problems, such as:
http://www.mattharwa...aserURL_Search/

Thanks.

P.S. I have AVG version 8.0.93 installed on my PC if that would make a difference.

If you had flash blocked, you would probably know it since you have to set it that way.

Run this program to clean up some folders and try again.

Right now I don't know why it is not working for you.

Unless these sites are being blocked by a blacklist in one of your security programs, including AVG, which is now watching the sites you visit.

Hi CMPM,

Thank you so much for your help!

Your advice to use ATF Cleaner completely solved my problems.

I am now able to watch the videos that previously weren't showing up in my browser with no problem.

I was also able to install the .exe files that I was unable to install before.

Thank you once again for taking the time to answer my questions and quickly solve my pc problems.

I hope you have a great weekend. I know I will (thanks to your help).

Best Regards,

Tom B.

Cool, glad it worked.

Keeping a computer clean of even harmless files is a necessity.
