I have been connecting to this same ftp regularly as well as about 20 other members. Now i am unable to connect due to a timeout - it simply cannot resolve the server, i also tried nslookup in command prompt.

The twist is this, I AM able to connect to the ftp while using a proxy.... I am sure there is a way to fix it - i just dont know how... any help id be grateful... thank you

Hi, mark6677

If your able to connect through a Proxy (which makes the FTP think it's not your real I.P.) and not able without one - I would say the FTP server has blocked your I.P. for one reason or another. The timeout is because the FTP server's firewall runs in stealth and does not send back any returns (doesn't say yes or no - just doesn't answer - thus the timeout)
