Hi, all
I've been struggling with this for a couple days now.

The computer was infected with really bad spyware, but now I believe it's all gone. After removing it; however, Winlogon started crashing and restarting Explorer.exe. I also notice that the Imapi.exe file starts right before the crash. I get an Event ID: 1002 every time the system restarts

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Winlogon
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 5/18/2008
Time: 12:50:31 PM
User: N/A
Computer: DNEXUS
Description:
The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft....link/events.asp.

I've tried doing a repair install of XP, an upgrade of XP, and installed SP3. I'm trying not to have to do a clean install.

Here's my HJT Log:

The best I've found on the web so far is that it's usually a program running in the background that keeps crashing the Winlogon. I installed ShellExView and disabled every BHO one at a time to try and isolate the problem with no avail.

Please Help!!!
