I have been trying to fix this for the past week. I have reinstalled Windows XP SP2 and Office. Of course I thought when I reinstalled, my files would be wiped out, but they weren't, so obviously I did something wrong. Before I reinstalled, I had used Hijackthis, Dial-a-fix, SDFix, Combofix and others I can't remember. After reinstallation, I have used ATFCleaner, Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware, and I tried to use DSS, but when it almost finishes, a window comes up that says "dss.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I notice that something keeps creating a new user--my name with a number. I have AVG, and every time I scan, which is several times a day, these warnings come up:
