can't log-in with firefox

I had installed firefox to use after doing a system recovery. After installation, i was able to connect to the internet, but surprisingly when I tried to log-into my e-mail for Yahoo, Google, or even my job, Firefox would not open the page.

I feel like there might be an easy answer ot this problem, like a setting I have to check or something.

I appreciate any help with this issue.
