Just reinstalled my windows xp cd so i could start over but when i did that i have no sound on my computer i did the sound trouble shooter but did not work

are your using the on-board sound or PCI sound card?

try going into your BIOS & enable the on-board audio,
you need to update you windows too,since it's fresh install.

please ensure you have the latest driver for your sound.
