I have an asrock 939 dual-vsta Motherboard until yesterday i was running a 256mb 6600gt agp with a 256mb? 8400gs pci-e(just for the use of 3 monitors not trying sli etc). Today i got a 512mb 8800gt pci-e and so wanted to do the same setup but with the 8800 and the 6600.

Heres the problem! when running those 2 with the 8800 as primary the computer loads upto the windows xp symbol and the scrolling blue bar and then the bar just stops moving. However if i run with the 6600 as primary the the computer boots fine. Obviously i want the 8800 as primary for the better graphics but im unsure how to do this. I was wondering if its because the 8800 is trying SLI but i can't figure out how to turn it off if it is possible. Anyone got any idea on why this won't work or how to turn off sli?

Thanks!
