When I attempt to open my computer or any other folder, it will often freeze. I can't predict when it will happen because it randomly picks times to do it. Very annoying.

Sorry it took so long. The problem is getting worse and some of the objects you told me to get rid of weren't there. No program on the desktop and no folder will open now.

This is a special case that requires a special tool. Please download and run APM:
http://www.geekstogo...tion=show&id=27

In the upper window select explorer.exe
In the lower window find and rightclick C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\FHH.DLL
Select Unload DLL and click OK on the prompts that follow.

After that, reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files and folders, and remove the following files in bold:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\FHH.DLL

Restart you PC

To clean up anything left behind, install Ad-Aware:
http://www.geekstogo...ction=show&id=5

Before running the program, you must FIRST update the reference file following these instuctions (and you must always do this before you run the program at any later date).

Now do the following:

Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Press "Scan Now"

- Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
- Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
- Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
- Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives. It will find a number of spyware files and registry keys. Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

Now press "Next" again. It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot.

Run HijackThis again and post back a fresh log. <_<

When in doubt it's best to remove any unknown or questionable O16 entries. The user will simply be prompted to re-install these browser plug-ins the next time they're required.

APM preforms an illegal operation every time I try to open it but I did an extremely indepth scan of every file on the computer (including those in other users) with Ad-Aware and found 69 files and 2 folders of spy-ware. All gone, problem solved. So, see if anything else needs fixin.

Problem almost solved. Try running APM in safe mode.
