Need to list your Internet make/model so someone can help you with specific info. On most routers, if you use the set up access to it, you can change the channel and then check if problem still exists. Do you still have the manual for the router? If not, it is probably available online.
Try going to your internet browser and type in the router's IP address. If you haven't changed it, then it is most likely either 192.168.1.1 or (192.168.2.1). Then search around for for where you can change wireless channels. Different manufacturers put it in different places.

i was just showed how to change my channel. Which channel is the least likey to be interfered with by a wireless phone? i am currently on channel 1 and my friend said this is the best channel, is this true?

Only the make/model is needed. Might want to delete the user name/password info unless you plan to change it soon. This is an online manual link. This is suppose to be a PDF of manual.
No one channel is the best channel. The "best" channel is the one that solves your interference problem(s).
