I work at a large business and every now and then a PC (Windows XP sp2) will have IE troubles. The shortcut only seems to make more shortcuts when clicked, and when right clicking there is no option to open, only (Create shortcut, delete, rename, properties). So I tried going to the IE directory and using the iexplorer.exe. This has the open option, but nothing happens, it doesnt open at all. I am positive this PC does not have malware but am completely stumped as to why this is happening.

Also I reverted to IE6 and it worked fine, but we would like to use 7 and reinstalling it only creates the same issue. And I apologize but we can't use Firefox here :)
