I have a IBM Thinkpad T22. It has a built in modem and LAN Ports. I need to connect to the internet. Do I only need a Wireless PCI card to get online? Do I also need to sign up with an ISP? Please help me. Because it has a built in modem, can I plug a phone cord into it and into the phone line and get dial up with no dWireless PCI card?

You need an internet provider.
For broadband, most providers send you everything you need.
For dial-up, you'll get a CD which configures the system as needs be.
Wireless is only available on broadband with appropriate hardware. If you don't know whether you need to go wireless, chances are you probably don't need it.
