I ran my antivirus and spybot search and destroy and antivirus (AVG) found nothing and spybot found a few things and supposedly deleted them but said a few could not be deleted until I restarted. I restarted and my browser was still hijacked... I restarted again and it wouldn't load up. Not even in any of the safe modes. It just acted like itw as loading and then continually restarted it self. I panicked and called the emachine # and the guy told me to hit F8 when loading and hit enter on the "Disable automatic restart when system fail" or something like that so I did and it loaded up. He advised me to run the anti-v prog again and spybot and to call back if there was any problems.
I did and it acted fine and things seemed ok so the next day I turned on the computer and it again, continually restarted itself without actually loading up. I saw an option under F8 to start with last known good configuration and since then that is the only way I can get the computer to load up.
I ran anti-v and spybot again today and antiv found all sorts of trojans and a keylogger and a ton of adware and supposedly deleted it. So I restarted... Still not loading up w/o me using the "last known good config" option... Browser seems fine no, no more symptoms of hijacking.
But obviously the issue of it not loading up is very troublesome... I don't know much about computers just general stuff.
If anyone can help please let me know. I'm scared to even turn the computer off for fear it might not come back up.
I have ran the trendmicro online scan and it found some adware and deleted it. I've ran a-squared anti malware and it found some things and supposedly deleted it. Also ran windows defender which found nothing. I don't know what else to do. Someone please help. I just had the blue screen pop up and the computer shut down and restarted itself only to have me have to use the "last known good configuartion" to get into it again. HELP Is there a way to just completely delete everything and start fresh?? I'm usuing an Emachine T5062.
