Hello,

This is my first post to geekstogo. Thanks for any help. I have a virus that I can't seem to fix with Spybot Search and Destroy. It appears to svhoster.exe, sv.exe, svzip.exe, runsql.exe, vlc.exe, vdmon.exe, svx.exe, svw.exe. I started to follow the instructions of another post, but I was unsure that I was following the correct path. The post I was following was:

"FIRST

We shall remove the extra Antiviruses you have : Download and run the following two tools

http://download.mcaf...atches/MCPR.exe

http://service1.syma...005033108162039 you need to go to this page to select your version

LET BATTLE COMMENCE

Please download FixWareout from here:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log

GOING ON

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below. "

These was Log file that was listed in the post that is different the my results (which I assume is expected) . I followed the instructions above and received the following Log.

I also get redirected from my Google results to unwanted sites.

Do you have a recommendation on how to proceed or should I just rebuild the system?

Thanks,

Hello GLG, my name is fenzodahl512 and welcome to Geekstogo.. Please do the following...

Please download SDFix by Andy Manchesta and save it to your desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
  • A new folder will be extracted to your %systemdrive%, typically C:\SDFix
  • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the script.
  • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt along with any other requested logs at the end of these instructions.

NEXT

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) from HERE or HERE and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • Please let your firewall allow the scanning/downloading process.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Please post the following logs in your next reply.. Please post each log in separate post..

1. SDFix log
2. Deckard System Scanner (main.txt and extra.txt)
