Rogue Spear/Urban Ops Compatibility problem with Vista

Since we have upgraded one of our computers which came with windows vista, we can't get our Rogue Spear/Urban Ops game to run. It will come up. It will allow us to select multiplayer (on the Vista machine). It will let us launch and then it errors. We found one guy who claimed to have a fix on the net but it didn't work on our computer. Found lots of people with the same problem but no answers. (When the other machine on our LAN tries to host, the Vista computer can't see it).
