Ok. I'm sure someone here has heard of stepmania, and how you can mod your ddr dancepad to run usb by use of a soldering gun, an xbox dancemat, scissors, and the female end of a usb cord. Is this possible to turn a 9pin mouse into a usb mouse? I want to use a mouse with my laptop for a game, but I'm saving up for a Razer mouse for summer use, and I don't wanna dish out some cash on a usb mouse. I just want a quick fix. I'm only 13, and don't have much money.

Does your computer have a PS2 port? Take a look at this.

It is so old that you may not even find any of these anymore.

And at a cost of most mouses you can get this.

Of course you could try doing this yourself. It's just a matter of soldering wires together.
