hello i just came on here to ask if i upgraded my E2140 1.6 mhz cpu to a 2.5 mhz Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 one will the performance in games increase?

The E7200 has bigger cache and a faster clock speed. In theory it should speed the games up.
However games are more dependent these days on the capabilities of the graphics card rather than the processor speeds, though you only have a low-end entry model processor in any case.
