All of a sudden the screen saver on my Dell Latitude laptop (Model PPL) with W98SE stopped working. Even though I have Settings\CP\Display\ScreenSaver set at 3 minutes\OK, the screen does not ever change to the screen saver. Whatever could I be doing wrong? Thanks

This behaviour can be caused if some program is running and actively taking up CPU time, making Windows think that the computer is in use when it isn't. What happens if you change the timeout, apply it, change it back and apply it again?

Neil: I changed the settings as you suggested and, yes, my problem has been fixed. Thanks so much.
