[Solan]

Hi,
My web browser does not seem to function properly. It does not load certain websites, google is one of those that cannot be accessed. However, these problems only apply when i'm using the web browser mozilla firefox, when i use the regular IE none of these issues occur. But it is a real pain to use IE all the time due to the pop-ups. Please help me out.

• Please go to My Computer >> double-click on C:\ drive

• A New Folder will be created inside your C:\ drive. Please rename the folder as you wish (eg: HijackThis).
• To rename it, please right-click at New Folder and choose Rename.
• Then please cut and paste HijackThis.exe from that temporary folder into the new folder that we created before.

By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal.

Post the log from ComboFix (located in C:\combofix.txt) when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Hello, Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE or HERE

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
• The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:

Please Install/Update Sun Java

Updating Java:

• Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs.
• Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
• It should have next icon next to it:
• Select it and click Remove. This will uninstall the previous (outdated) version of Java.
• Then Download and install the newest version from here: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 6

And now, to help protect your computer in the future I would like to recommend you these following free programs. Please do remember to use only ONE "Real-Time Protection" software for EACH Antivirus, AntiSpyware and Firewall.

• SpywareBlaster 4.0 to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place.
• SpywareGuard to catch and block spyware before it can execute.
• IESpy-Ad to block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email.

Lastly, to keep your operating system up to date please visit the link below monthly

• Microsoft Windows Update
