It looks like I have a different lsass.exe error than the others on the site.

When I turn my computer on, I get this error in a normal windows window right before the logon screen.

"lsass.exe The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)"

I still get this after I have recovered/restored windows. And recently, it's been restarting after the initial XP loading screen one time, and then giving me this error on the second time through.

I also tried the windows repair listed on the website. When I put in my recovery CD, it loads all the components, and as it "starts Windows", it turns off.

PS. I read the other thread like mine, and I used BIOS to make sure my HDD was still being read, and it is. But once I exited I got the same lsass.exe error, followed by a blue screen saying:

"The Windows Logon Process System process terminated unexpectedly." and some numbers. Am I screwed?
