I recently reformatted my computer/reinstalling Windows XP. I made the mistake of upgrading the Windows Media Player from version 9 to version 11. When I went to the Start>Control Panel>Add & Remove> I saw two entries for the WMP 11. One being, Windows Media Format 11 Runtime ( 11.16MB), and Windows Media Player 11 (11.16MB).

I'm wondering if I unstall these, along with the updates, if it would roll back to the previous version. I do not like the WMP 11 and want now the WMP 10. Also, are there any known issues about the WMP 10 playing properly without updating to the version 11?

Thanks for your help,
Zandee

The uninstallation will roll you back to WMP 9.0. If you prefer WMP 10.0 download it from Microsoft.

Thank you for your reply and assistance. Do I need to uninstall the WMP11 along with the runtime and updates first?
