I am trying to run disk defrag and i get a message...Disk defragmenter has dectected that Chkdsk is
scheduled to run on the volume :HP_ PAVILION Please run Chkdsk/f.
can you tell me what to do . thanks

Hi cohen 05! Welcome to G2G!

Go to Start-->RUN and type chkdsk /f and click OK. It will popup a window saying that it can't run now and asks if you want to run it the next time Windows starts. Click YES to this popup and then restart your computer and the chkdsk should run when windows loads up after the reboot.

Once the chkdsk is finished, then try defragmenting your hard drive again.
