Pcmcia 56K Modem Problems

Hi I have 2 Manhattan Pcmcia 56K Modems,both are new and one of them will dial-up one time,and then want work again,till sometime later,we took them back to where they was bought and they checked them and said they are good.I have tryed to use them in a toshiba and a dell latitude,they worked good for a while now I'm haveing problems,I uninstalled all drivers last night and booted up the dell,and then put the modem in and it installed it and it worked,but this morning it want work.I can use a 3 com Megahertz 56K and it will work everytime.....O and I do have the drivers for the Manhattan modem and it still want work with that eather,thers nothing wrong with eather laptop,but they say the modems are good.thanks for any help,and we will make a donation as soon as we have funds trans fered to paypal,you can send a invoice to 'removed',and we will make a donation to the moderator.PS and I get a Error 678 and 690. <_<
