wiped out computer and hard drives disappear

i wiped out my home pc and was going to reinstall windows xp pro. but when it went through the setup on the reinstall it says my ard drive anre not installed. so i grabed a new sata drive and installed it still telling me the same thing. now the BIO's are seeing it. some one help me please before i shoot this thing

perhaps you need to setup the bios so it is running a raid setup on the SATA hard drive. Some earlier Sata motherboards had to run in a RAId setup to see the drives.
