Hi,
I have a Pentium 4 2.8gh, with 1 Gb ram 1 x 200 Gb seagate HDD, and 1 x Maxtor 80Gb HDD. The machine refused to boot past the windows "Windows did not load correctly last time" screen, so I tried a repair using my xp disk. this gave me the error message "An unexpected error (10730200993) occured at line 1768 in D:\xpsp\base\boot\setup\arcdisc.c. Press any key"
tried a different cd, same message.
I re-partitioned and formatted both drives, and tried again. Same messsage. I borrowed a friends pristine brand new cd with SP3, same message (on line 1773)
whats happening?
Can anyone help
Davy

Still struggling with this.
I keep getting a message saying the bios is not fully ACPI complient, and to update my bios, but this m/board has run XP pro for years with no problems, so I think the m/board itself might be kaput
