i have a eMachine but my operation system will not start. when you turn it on in a split sec. the blue screen flash by then said unmountable disk.

Unmountable Boot Volume can be fixed by booting off an XP CD (or the recovery console if the option is presented to you on the hard drive), going into the Recovery Console and running CHKDSK /P /R.
