I have windows xp home edition. When I try to open anything on the computer I get an error message that says: This program does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. How do I fix it? please help!!!!

I do hope you know that a probable cause of this is a virus which modifies the Windows Registry such as the SirCam virus or a *Nhatquanglan Virus.

Even tho i do not like registry cleaners once in a great while they can fix a windows problem. You need to be very careful messing with the registry. I have messed up quite a few registrys just by changing one file of deleting one file there. I do backup the registry anytime i need to mess with one.
