Well ... design takes practice and patience, so you're gonna have to start off basic. Its not really something that can be done in an instant.

The page you linked to is a custom PHP coded Content Management System. This requires more advanced coding then we're going to be able to help you with in this forum.

However, there are a number of free PHP scripts that wil give you a very similar page. IPB Dynamic Lite is one by the same author as this forum software. You can find it here: http://www.invisionboard.com/

And, here's one example of a site using it: http://www.forumgeeks.com/portal.php?skinid=1\

There's a working demo here: http://demo.invision...ex.php?act=home

You'll still need some basic PHP and MYSQL knowledge, as well as a web host that supports them.

If I may...

I have very little experience in coding PHP or anything else (truthfully, I have little interest in learning it, either). There are freeware tools to help you learn the basics and/or write code (not exactly WYSIWYG, but helpful). When I have to edit PHP code, first I search Google for the answer, then I open up Macromedia Dreamweaver and edit & save & upload. Or notepad if it's simple HTML.

As for design... I don't think anyone can teach you or even help you design. There are some great coders out there that I know personally, whose design is absolute crap. You have it or you don't. You get an idea in your head and you run with it... you do what you have to do (IE: Google for answers to questions and/or experiment) and you get it done. That's not to say you'll see every idea realized... I've had many, many ideas for designs (website, etc) that never saw the light of day because I either couldn't find the answer to my questions online or I didn't have the patience to learn code or I simply couldn't figure it out.

If you really want the site realized, you'll make it happen, I have no doubt. But asking for help on ideas that emulate an established (and popular) site isn't the way to begin. :D

Good luck!! <_<

PHP Content Management, isn't that what PHP Nuke and all of those other modules provide?

PHP is a programing language, like C++, Visual Basic, etc. HTML is the most common web programming language, and it provides WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) feedback. PHP is a server based language, and usually requires code to be loaded to a server to view "live".

PHP Nuke, and many others are PHP/MYSQL scripts that are easy to install and use, without requiring any programing knowledge. <_<
