I have tried EVERYTHING. My bf and I have a macbook/macbook Pro, using a Siemens Speedstream 4100, and a Linksys wireless router. We will have perfect DSL all day, until 7:30pm. That is when we start getting kicked every couple of minutes. The DSL light will be green, then flashing red, then green and on and on... The AT&T tech came today, said our phone line is perfect, and we have a very strong DSL connection. Our ISP tech support people are great, but they don't see any issues or errors on the line, even when we're getting kicked. This modem is less than a month old, and I am pulling my hair out here!! We don't have any other electrical equipment, halogen lights, dimmer switches, street lights, etc near us. Our apartment complex is extremely old, so I cannot connect the modem directly to the phone box (mPoe). C'mon geeks, I know someone out there can help!! Thanks in advance. -Erica

The only thing that comes to mind is that your ISP is changing your IP at this time every day and your router or modem has to get the new address from the DHCP server. I don't know how you check your IP (internet address) on a Mac but I would do that at 7:00 and then again at 8:00 to see if it changed.

I'm probably using the same service as yours and I keep the login information in the router as PPPoE and don't have anything in the modem and I have no problems, except that it will drop out whenever the IP changes, but for me that is done fairly randomly.

Our IP address seems to be staying the same, and we have our wireless router password protected. Now it's doing it during the day, but it still is happening at 7:30pm on the dot, and that's when it's at it's worst. Right now we're just having some lag issues, at night, we get kicked multiple times.

There could be something which is causing interference with the phone line. Perhaps automated lights or someone else with a cross connected line which causes problems when it is used.

You really need to get the phone company out at 7:30pm to check on it when the problem occurs.
