hi
thanks for ur message.
im sorry is there something that i am doing wrong because i am not able to download the driver. instead i get the below screen shot.
i have not yet set the bios to optimized.
the DCOM is already set to automatic.

i selected the ''load optimized defaults'' option and i am still having the same problems.

give me the make and model # of your computer..I'm pretty sure at this point its your networking controller driver causing the crashs

just look on the computer...it will say dell or gateway or whatever
and then a model number like dell latitude d505

go here and get everything that has xp x86 by it....
also launch everest again...click on the + beside display..then click on PCI/AGP and get a screenshot for me

ok so i have downloaded everything with x86 that you have marked except for the CHIPSET-Ethernet and the CHIPSET Gart and the BIOS Utility because they were not marked. Should i install the drivers for them as well?

yep...I couldn't get them all in the screenshot ....you may want to burn them all to a cd so in the future you need a driver you will already have them at hand...I build custom computers and they get a cd with all the drivers///whoever built yours should have done the same for you...
post the screenshot I asked for...

the audio/sound seems to be working, i just had to reinstall the driver again.
