Help with too many processes running......63

I don't know what 90% of the processes that are running in my task manager but I have not had a problem and even checked that until today. I have a program called PalTalk and have not had an issue with playing music on there until today. Had a friend of mine try to help me and told me to check the task manager to see how many processes were running in the background. I told him with just my desktop running from restart I was showing 62. He said that might be a little high.....explative deleted. Can anyone help me and let me know if that many would cause a problem and also slow down my computer just surfing the web. Many thanks.
