Resolved...Can't run Add/Remove Applet in Control Panel

Hi:

I am running Win Xp, on a Toshiba, Satellite P35 Laptop. When trying to run Add/Remove in control panel I receive the following error: An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOWS\system32\appwiz.cpl",Add or Remove Programs"

I would really appreciate help in getting this corrected.

Ran: SFC /SCANNOW. I can now access Add/Remove Applet.
