My teenage daughter has a new (3months old) Dell Vostro PC, running Windows XP Pro.

A few days ago the keyboard stopped working and after checking Device Manager, I saw that the computer does not show the keyboard as existing. The keyboard lights are on so I know that power is reaching it.

After a few shutdowns and reboots failed to solve the problem, I unplugged the keyboard and connected it to another USB port (I think there are 6 ports). The keyboard worked.

The next day - same problem.

Suggestions, please?
