I Explorer launch problem

Hi -

Everytime i try to lauch internet explorer, i get a message saying ''cannot find 'file:///c:/program%20files/aol%20toolbar/welcome.html'' - Make sure the path or internet address is correct.

I just click ok and then IE eventually launches but this is a pain

Can anyone help

Go to your control panel to "add remove" programs. Look for that AOL toolbar and uninstall it. Reboot the computer. Let us know if that helps. Also, right click the shortcut you are using to launch IE, click properties and make sure it is set to directly go to your homepage.

Did as you said i.e removed the AOL toolobar from the program menu. I rebooted and checked the path an I still have the same issue

Hi jqs27

Try reset Internet Explorer. Most searches on google comes up
with that solution. Other solutions are some reg.editing, but we won't
go into that (yet, anyways)

To reset IE, follow this path:

Goto Tools, click Internet options,
the advanced tab, click reset button.

Reboot.

See how it goes.
