Hello. First post!! :)

I have an Acer laptop with Vista Home Basic.
I am away from home for a few weeks without the ability to connect to the internet with the laptop.
I do have access to the www. with a work PC.
Can i update Windows defender via flash drive?

Cheers

If the laptop has no access to the internet and you know for definite it will not be going on the Internet, there's no need to be updating Defender.
The whole point of Internet Security software is to provide security when you're on the Internet. Not going on the Internet is the best "security" you can get. :)
Defender in XP updates automatically, Defender in Vista updates through Windows Update.
