I have Vista Home Basic.
I am in need of MS Word.

What version can I buy of MS Word? I would prefer an old version if it is cheaper and would work with my computer (Inspiron 1501).

Do you know a good place to get the cheapest version?

THANK YOU 1,000,000!

The average price was $109.00. But there are some great free alternatives:

OpenOffice

haven't tried this one for $11.95 download (CD available, too):

Another interesting option could be Lotus Symphony.

IBM have stepped up the pace, and have created
a good product I personally expect more from in
the future.
