The msiexec.exe isn't in the task manager any more, so that's a relief :)

I still have
HP OCR Software 2MB
HP Imaging Device Software 2MB
HP Photosmart Essential 11MB
HP Solution Centre 8.0 2MB

listed in add/remove. They're pretty stubborn.

Oh I had defrag open to check hard drive space, was planning on burning a data dvd.

Download the MSI Cleanup Utility again then Install.
http://download.micr...1bd/msicuu2.exe

Remove the following using the Utility.

HP OCR Software 2MB
HP Imaging Device Software 2MB
HP Photosmart Essential 11MB
HP Solution Centre 8.0 2MB
